This movie could have been great… If they didn't add all the woke ideology to it.
Since they announced they're making Toy Story 5, maybe they could reference how this is a movie in their universe. Like, it's the 30th anniversary since Lightyear came out in the 90s or something. With that, Al from the second movie could return and he captures Buzz so he can sell a collection of Lightyear stuff.

You know, I think the problem with “Lightyear” was that it said it was the story of Buzz Lightyear and what really inspired Andy to get the toy (even though it was actually the cartoon that was the inspiration [which you can watch on YouTube for free]) when in reality, it’s a completely different story of Buzz Lightyear than the cartoon and the original lore. It feels more like the story of Buzz Lightyear from a parallel universe than a direct retelling of the original Buzz Lightyear story.
I think the whole film would have actually been better if it opened with this:
“You have heard of the story of Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, who went to infinity and beyond, who protected the galaxy from the threat of invasion from the evil Emperor Zurg, sworn enemy of the Galactic Alliance. But this is not the same story that you know. This is about the real Buzz Lightyear.”

I love how this movie bombed so hard the biggest studio in the world had to come crawling back to the guy they fired for being a republican and ask him to reprise his role 😂

Just finished Buzz Lightyear for the second time. Am I the only one that cries in the teary spots. 69 years old and I still get so wrapped up in these animated series. I almost prefer them to human beans. Haha see what Google did the human beans. For Google has an IQ of -10000
