This was a good film. I was afraid it'd be another "Mario's the badguy lol" parody, but instead I got a sad story about a man falling into drug addiction after a bad break-up and being helped out by his brother.

This was pretty decent. I don't get why some people in the comment section said that it was worse than the actual Mario movie.
I just noticed that at 0:15, you can hear the fireball sound effect from the game when he lights the lighter. It’s very faint, but it’s there.
Found my way back to this and I'm amazed how well this stands and even better than how I remembered it.
What I really hate is how HARD youtube made it for me to find this thing again. I've been searching all yesterday for things like "Mario live acted" and "Mario parody" or "if Super Mario brothers was real" or "Super Mario in real life" and I got OCEANS of garbage…. including Sonic the Hedgehog garbage. But FINALLY I remembered it was actually a fake theatrical trailer for a nonexistent movie and found it with the search "super mario fake movie preview" and even then it was only the 4th thing down.
