Pradeep Uppoor is an Indian film producer who is known for co-launching the television production company “Fireworks Productions,” which produced C.I.D in 1994. He died on 13 March 2023 due to cancer.

He died on 13 March 2023 after suffering from cancer in Singapore where he was undergoing treatment.

- In 2017, he filed an FIR at Juhu police station when there was a theft of Rs. 12 Lakh in his house. They got to know about the incident when his wife was going through the almirah and found the cash and ornaments missing from their house. In an interview, a source talked about the FIR and said,
The complaint was received on Friday night after the complainant found that the cupboards of the flat had been opened. Getting suspicious, she checked her belongings and found that cash and jewellery had been stolen. The police were informed that Rs 9 lakh in cash was missing from the house, and ornaments worth over Rs 3 lakh were also missing. We have been scanning the CCTV footage of the premises to find clues regarding the incident.”
- After his death, CID actor Shivaji Satam took to social media and expressed condolence on his death and wrote,
Pradeep Uppoor, ( the maker, pillar of CID ) ….. an ever smiling dear friend, honest & upfront, magnanimously generous to the core ..… a long long wonderful chapter of my life comes to an end with your exit Boss …love you & miss you buddy.”
