Felt like it could’ve been better without the horror and paranormal non-sense. Tell black people’s story without an unnecessary gimmick. maybe show the psychological toll racism had through hallucinations or nightmares? Great show regardless.
Was not expecting this show to be as vile and disturbing as it is. Worth the watch if you can handle it. I personally had to turn away from the screen too many times to count.
Black people has endured so much suffering and continue to.. down with white supremacy
They need to make an Mexican version of this series. Because now it's the Mexicans that are treating us like this.
This show truly messed me up. I don’t think a show has ever brung so much emotion out of me…. It was disturbing as hell but incredible. In the 5 of all time for me, up there with Breaking Bad.

Is the intention of this series to hate white people? Because (and I have to say SPOILER here) this black family suffers a fate what can only be described as kafkaesque, without any hope. And the problem always seem to be white people who (almost everyone at least) are so blatantly racist, that it's not subtle in the slightest. All black people in this series are good in their hearts, even if they did bad things, they did it because of racist, white possession. On the other hand almost all white people (with exception of a teacher, who is appearantly subliminal racist, a (supposedly) gay and cowardly man, who is discriminated, and a woman, who is being discrimanted as well (but also part of the problem)). The only controversial "black" man comes out as white, to exaggerate the point, that the skin color is the ultimate problem. I really want to see hard truths on racism, but I'm missing the differentiated view here.
This is on par with "Passion of the Christ", and I really have to say: Wow.
Apart from the screenwriting, the actors are great, the atmosphere and the camera work is wonderful (mostly shot anamorphic).
I hope they do not make a season 2 this was horrible and creepy and not worth watching all 10 fingers down!
The only things this show has in common with Peele films is racial horror and the daughter from US. Totally different. And absolutely fucked up 😳
The show was ok., though dark, Overdramatized, and slow paced. It could have been wrapped up to a 6 episodes if it was stitched properly.
Good acting and cinematography was on point..

I dont know if anyone will read this but had to get it off my chest…everytime i am reminded by media the movies series which potrayed what black people went through i cry…i feel so so hurt just by the simple way they were gazed upon.i am an asian and like never actually met another person…but if i could say sorry to each and every person physically for what they had or still to some extent endure even still today….i would have said sorry.
The acting from this cast is very intense. It really gets across the unnerving situation they are in. Fantastic performances 👏
Please don’t play those bullsh!t like the end of season 1. As you want us to want them more , I do understand that. So please please please make us want to see more THEM, of how they would deal with the neighbours, how things would go after all those things , how real lives happened to all those people , and how they connect and make a real change nowadays….
One of the best. Need to see the real ends. Please give us the 2nd season.
